Alton Sterling

As a black man I.....I am.....I pray.  100 + black men have been killed by police this year alone.  Alton Sterling has now been added to that toll.  I want to ask why, but I know the answer already.  That's the sad part of it all, being black for some reason stirs fear and hate within the hearts of white individuals.  If it weren't so, we would find instances where police officers would treat blacks the same way as whites.  White Privilege? Naw, it's racism.  I am starting to believe that if we as African Americans don't do anything that provokes white supremacy to change it's onslaught, more of our kings will lose their lives.  More children will be without their fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.  Mothers will be without sons and daughters.  Hatred vs. Hatred will not solve this.  However prayer and fasting can combat this.  I just really need God to heal my heart, because this is a tough one to move away from.

Somehow, someway, we as a people have to fly above this oppression.

This Is War

We had the privilege of creating these custom shirts for Nadi B's MS Walk team "Combatts."  These shirts were printed with powerful declarations of determination, will power, and faith.  While at the walk, Nadi was introduced to a young man, Nick who is battling stage four cancer.  Nick was so encouraged and inspired to keep fighting by Nadi B's shirt that he requested to have one printed for himself.  Nadi B reached out to us, and immediately we got to work crafting up a shirt.

Nadi was able to make her way to Nick's house to deliver the shirt as a surprise.  Nick was overwhelmed by the gift and was inspired to keep the fight for his health and wellness.  A big shout out goes to Nadi B for her sensitivity to Nick's situation, and for inspiring many others to win their own individual fights.

2016 Do it God's Way or not at all.

What a year 2015 was!  God was so so sooooo good to us!!  We had a beautiful baby girl Brooke, started our business as an LLC, and won the largest award in our work environment.  However with all the blessings there were challenges.  I lost my last grandparent Samie Anderson at 107 years old.  His life, legacy, and story is too long to tell.  Just know that he is a legend.  In spite of the challenges God's grace, mercy, and lordship never slipped.  He never stopped being....GOD.  For that alone we are thankful!

"As unto the Lord" is my slogan for this new year.  I will go forward in what God has designed specifically for me.  God's way is not only the only way, it's the best way!
